Trinity Western University opens in Richmond

“I cannot say that having a child, working full time and completing a degree was easy, but it is amazing how you can find the time if you just manage it better,” says Leslie, a graduate of Trinity Western University’s BA in Leadership.

After three years of running TWU degree completion programs for adults and international students at the Richmond Cultural Centre and Richmond Olympic Oval, TWU Richmond has opened its own doors to the public at 5900 Minoru Boulevard.

“Without all those amazing instructors and the staff, I would have likely given up so many times,” Leslie says. “Trinity Western and the students that I attended my classes with almost became an extension of my family. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Trinity and I cannot thank them enough.”

Known for its transformational educational experience, Trinity Western University supports students more than just academically. The university’s caring faculty – who are among the top scholars in their respective fields – also make themselves accessible to students both in and outside the classroom.

TWU Richmond’s programming offers the community’s leaders a different higher education option, right in the heart of the city. The 20,000-square-foot learning centre will serve an estimated 500 to 700 adult and international students annually.

“Education is no longer limited to single-campus locations,” says Phil Laird, TWU’s associate provost. “It’s about being accessible to people, meeting them where they are, and empowering them to move forward.”

Convenient, relevant, relational and supportive – these words characterize the unique leadership development program offered at TWU Richmond. It’s a program designed especially for 21st century leaders seeking a degree at a bachelor’s or master’s level.
