Yves Lambert Trio / Festival du Bois

What: The 31st annual Festival du Bois is a weekend celebration of francophone and French-Canadian culture, and the largest in BC. Enjoy music and dance, traditional food, shows for children, fun activities, and more.

Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival

What: Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival showcases over 50 craft breweries, cider houses, and distilleries at Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club on March 7. Admission includes all beverage samples, and Taps & Tacos Food Truck will be serving food. The festival will also be operating a free shuttle to and from the venue from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Skytrain station.

International Women’s Day with Marlene Lowden: artist talk and blind contour drawing

What: Place des Arts’ welcomes exhibiting artist Marlene Lowden for an artist talk about her exhibition Blind Contour Homage Series for International Women’s Day. Lowden will share stories and explain her artistic process. Afterwards, attendees can try their hand at blind contour drawing.

Book Reading of “In My Own Moccasins” by Helen Knott

What: Douglas Indigienous Student Services presents a book reading of “In My Own Moccasins” by author Helen Knott.  There will be a Q&A, a showcase of new material, and a book signing. Light refreshments will also be served.

Port Moody Film Society 20th Annual Canadian Film Festival

What: Port Moody Film Society presents a retrospective for their 20th annual Canadian Film Festival, with the board selecting the six best films presented over the past twenty years.

When: March 12 until March 15, 2020

Tickets: Membership $5 a year. Member admission $5 per film. Festival admission $7 per film.

Unplugged at Crossroads Hospice Coffeehouse

What: Crossroads Hospice Coffeehouse in Port Coquitlam have hosted their Unplugged series for over 15 years. Local musicians from across the Lower Mainland have performed to help raise funds and awareness for the hospice. Attendees are also welcome to perform in the open stage segment of the evening.

Spring Break Movie – Angry Birds 2 and Abominable

Hard Knocks at The Hard Rock

What: Alliance Boxing Promotions presents a professional boxing event showcasing local up and coming boxers as well as international fighters. The event also features a live guitarist, dancers, and BC’s first ever wheelchair adaptive boxing demonstration.
