Summer Movies presented by the Port Moody Public Library

Neighbourhood Nights

  • What: Get to know your neighbours at this free family event held at various Coquitlam park locations throughout the summer, with kids’ games, family activities, and light refreshments. Be a part of building relationships, promoting neighbourhood safety and creating a sense of community, while getting out to meet your neighbours and having fun.

Cinema Under the Stars

  • What: Enjoy recent movies on a 26-foot-tall enormous silver screen at Sun Valley and Gates Parks. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and round up some friends!

Maillardville Walking Tour & Tea with Maurice Guibord – Historic Places Day

  • What: In celebration of Historic Places Day, take a guided and engaging tour through historic Maillardville as you learn about the rich history of this neighbourhood. Let local historian and President of the Historical Francophone Society of BC, Maurice Guibord, lead you through Maillardville as he recounts the tales of the French-Canadian pioneers.

Summer Sundays: Free Blues, Soul, Funk, R&B and Reggae Concerts

Music in the Square

  • What: Music in the Square features the finest professional musicians from across Metro Vancouver, playing a variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock, blues, folk, world fusion, and contemporary. This is a rain or shine event.

PoCo Grand Prix

Fifth Annual Ultimate Car Show

  • Please note this event has been cancelled for 2018 due to a labour disruption.

From Where We Stand: Artist Talk & Tour

  • What: Join 13 Feet off the Ground Collective for an artist talk & tour of their exhibition From Where We Stand, on display at the Port Moody Arts Centre from July 12 to August 6. 2018. The evening will include a slide show featuring the collective’s mural work in Sicily and also includes a talk and tour through their exhibition of current work produced following the residency in Sicily last fall.

Summer Concert Series

  • What: Music lovers will enjoy free summer concerts under the evening sky at TD Community Plaza in Town Centre Park. Choose to either sit on the grassed seating levels or bring your own chair or blanket while enjoying a homemade picnic or meal purchased from an on-site food vendor.
