After a disappointing season, it looks like the Vancouver Canucks are going to shake things up in upper management. Rumours are swirling that former captain Trevor Linden will become the team’s new president.
UPDATE (Wednesday, April 9): Trevor Linden officially named new Canucks President of Hockey Operations
According to numerous reports, the Vancouver Canucks have been in discussions with Linden in hopes of him joining the organization. In what capacity, if any, remains to be known.
Not sure exactly what will go down in Van today, but Trevor Linden’s name is in the mix. Perhaps, Van using Sakic and Av’s template…#TSN

One scenario, as yet UNCONFIRMED, is GM Mike Gillis would be fired, Linden would hire new GM and new GM would sort out future of Tortorella.

There are conflicting reports though:
Linden says on Global he has not been approached by ownership about #canucks prez job & than an announcement is not imminent

We’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out. With the Canucks not making the playoffs, bringing in Linden to replace Mike Gillis or in some other capacity to help out the organization isn’t out of the realm of possibility – and it would be a great PR move.
