Travel: Feast Tofino Celebrates Boat-to-Table Cuisine

Vancouverites are lucky enough to say that boat-to-table cuisine is something they can access quite easily. Locally, one can visit Steveston and walk down the piers to buy fresh fish from the fishermen. If that’s something you enjoy, you might want to go a little further to try some of the best culinary experiences that B.C. has to offer in Tofino.
Feast Tofino is back for its third year offering a month-long series of culinary events celebrating the region’s boat-to-table cuisine. Starting on May 1, the festival runs until May 31 meaning now is the time to start checking the calendar, booking accommodations (perhaps at Pacific Sands Beach Resort?) and calling your friends.
Feast Tofino’s kickoff event — the Sneak Peek Into Feast progressive dining experience on April 21 — previews the $29, $39 and $49 Dine About Town menus planned by acclaimed regional and local chefs for the extensive series of Feast events in May.
In short, it’s a bit of a marriage between Dine Out Vancouver with the best local seafood from Tofino. With a serious roster of the best local chefs making an appearance or two at Feast Tofino, in my eyes it looks like a win, win win all around.
