TransLink has announced plans to renovate several SkyTrain stations and exchanges over the next few years.
TransLink will be renovating several SkyTrain stations and exchanges, including Metrotown SkyTrain Station and Main Street-Science World SkyTrain Station, to accommodate increasing passenger volumes, meet accessibility commitments, and improve each customer’s experience.
TransLink will begin renovating several Expo Line stations, as outlined in their 2013 Base Plan and the Expo Line Upgrade Strategy. New or expanded exchanges are also required to support the transit expansion outlined in TransLink’s 2040 Plan, 10-Year Plan and Area Transit Plans.
In some cases, planning for new or upgraded stations and exchanges involves partnering with municipalities and neighbourhoods around the transit facility. These plans aim to:
- make transit an asset to a community by integrating infrastructure with the surrounding neighbourhood
- improve passenger access to exchanges by creating safe, comfortable walking and cycling routes
- encourage the development of housing and employment in places where walking, cycling and transit are attractive choices

Carvolth Exchange and Park & Ride, south of Highway 1
Downtown Langley Exchange
Willowbrook Exchange
New Westminster
New Westminster SkyTrain Station
Surrey
Newton Town Centre
Scott Road SkyTrain Station
Surrey City Centre
Vancouver
Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain Station
Joyce-Collingwood SkyTrain Station
Main Street-Science World SkyTrain Station
Waterfront SkyTrain Station
