TransLink Set to Increase Fares on April Fool's Day

Dec 19 2017, 12:16 pm

Lower Mainland residents get ready to shell out more of your hard earned money for transit (this is not an April Fool’s joke). Although I’m sure there is an obvious rational justification for the increase, I am pretty sure transit users will still be up in arms about the latest fare increase. However, with the shortfall TransLink expects and the newly announced expansion of the U-Pass to all colleges and universities, TransLink was forced to increase fares. Maybe, finally, they will build Evergreen Line and then get working on the Broadway SkyTrain expansion. Who knows?
