TransLink will be once again adjusting the schedules of their transit services beginning on Monday, June 24 to reflect seasonal demand changes and maximize efficiency. These changes are made four times a year in the months of April, June, September and December.
This iteration of the changes will affect Downtown transit users the most. Some highlights:
- As part of the VIVA Vancouver program, the Granville Mall will be closed on weekends to vehicular traffic. Routes 4, 6, 7, 10, 14, 16, 17, 20 and 50 will all be seasonally rerouted to Seymour Street northbound and Howe Street southbound.
- The 800-block of Robson Street will also be closed during the summer, forcing westbound Route 5 to reroute to Pender Street and Burrard Street. At Burrard Station, the #5 Robson will be loading at Bay 1 and #5 Downtown/N6 Downtown at Bay 5.
- Routes 4, 7, 209, 210, 211, and 214 will all be temporarily rerouted onto Hastings Street from Powell Street until summer 2014 due to the construction of the Powell Street overpass.
- Route 19 frequency is slated to seasonally increase to every six minutes from 12 minutes and until Labour Day, the SeaBus will operate every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Route 316 Scottsdale/Surrey Central Station will permanently discontinue service to stop numbers 54941, 54942, 55042, and 55043 on 122 Street and 72 Avenue.

The 96 King George Boulevard B-Line service between Guildford Town Centre, Surrey Central Station, and Newton Exchange is slated to be implemented in the September service changes.
