A technical issue is causing delays on the Canada Line this morning

Amidst the Wednesday morning commute, a technical issue has caused a delay to a portion of the Canada Line.

According to TransLink, service between Bridgeport to YVR and Richmond-Brighouse is being impacted.

A bus bridge is in place between Oakridge-41st Ave and Bridgeport Station.

Passengers will need to transfer to a bus at Marine, Langara, and Oakridge Station.

Canada Line service in downtown is said to remain operational, although higher than usual passenger volume could be expected due to the earlier delays.

There is also a medical emergency affecting service at the Joyce Collingwood station this morning — and delays are expected for the next several hours.

Update: According to TransLink, as of 10;30 am, the technical issue for the Canada Line has been resolved.

The bus bridge between Oakridge and Bridgeport Stations will remain in order to clear the extra volume.

Be sure to give extra time going to and from your destination, as significant crowding will likely remain for a little bit longer.
