Nothing says playoffs in Vancouver more than a sea of white towels and this year, the Vancouver Canucks are using #TowelPower to unite fans across social media. Everything you need to know, from where to get your playoff towels, to Party on the Plaza details, to ticket info can be found at canucks.com/playoffs.

Towel power (#TowelPower) has been a Canucks playoff tradition since 1982, when Roger Neilson raised a white towel to protest questionable officiating, motivating the Canucks to win the series and eventually advance to the Stanley Cup Final. Neilson turned a symbol of surrender into one of solidarity, and since then, Canucks fans have waved their towels during the Playoffs to cheer their team on to victory.

The #TowelPower movement goes beyond the towel – just as Roger Neilson turned a simple white towel into a rallying cry, Canucks fans are encouraged to show their passion for the team in their everyday lives. From wearing your jerseys to putting up your car flags to coming to a game, the Canucks want to see how you celebrate the spirit of #TowelPower through all social media platforms.

Share your #TowelPower moments through Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, or Facebook and you could go to the Playoffs! Every day this week, the Canucks are choosing one #TowelPower post to win a pair of tickets to Game 2 on Friday, April 17.

Check out canucks.com/towelpower for more info and keep your eyes on @VanCanucks on Twitter to find out if you’ve won!
