Tour bus catches on fire in Stanley Park (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

Dec 20 2017, 12:54 am

If you saw a large plume of smoke hovering over Stanley Park late this afternoon, there’s nothing to be worried about.

An open-air Hop On Hop Off tour bus near the park’s Rose Garden caught on fire just after 4 p.m.

Firefighters were able to arrive to the scene quickly and knock out the fire before it was able to spread.

Access into Pipeline Road is currently closed. The No. 19 Stanley Park trolley bus is terminating in downtown Vancouver until further notice.

There were no injuries and it is unclear whether there were any tourists on board the bus at the time the fire began.
