Kyle Lowry is staying with the Toronto Raptors after all

Kyle Lowry is going nowhere.

Lowry will remain a member of the Toronto Raptors for the rest this season. According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA trade deadline came and went without the Raptors moving their franchise legend.

Despite constant rumours throughout the past couple of weeks, Wojnarowski says that the Raptors did not find a suitable return for the six-time All-Star before the 3 pm ET/12 pm PT deadline.

Wojnarowski also added that Lowry was always open to staying with the team for the rest of the season.

Toronto made three moves before the deadline, including trading Norman Powell to the Portland Trail Blazers, moving Matt Thomas to the Utah Jazz and sending Terrence Davis to the Sacramento Kings.

Lowry is in the final year of a contract paying him $30 million, and will become a free agent at the end of the season.
