The Toronto Blue Jays are back to being a hot ticket item this season, so how did their attendance numbers stack up across the MLB?

With just six home games left on the Blue Jays’ schedule, they are currently averaging 34,647 fans per game at the Rogers Centre, which carries a capacity of just under 42,000 for baseball games.

That ranks ninth in the MLB in average attendance, and second among American League teams. The only AL team that averages more is the New York Yankees, who rank second in the entire league with 42,464 fans per game.

This is nothing new for Toronto, which has ranked either ninth or eighth in MLB attendance for each of the last four seasons as well.

The LA Dodgers are at the top of the league with a staggering 49,536 fans per game at Dodger Stadium. That would be a mark that is impossible for the Blue Jays to match due to the size of the Rogers Centre.

Toronto did rank ahead of some of the league’s more iconic teams, including the Boston Red Sox (10th, 34,198 fans), Houston Astros (11th, 33,667 fans), and the MLB-leading Milwaukee Brewers (12th, 32,409 fans).

This is also up from the 2024 season, when the Blue Jays averaged 33,101 fans per game. It’s the highest since they averaged 37,307 fans during the 2023 season.

The highest average attendance for Toronto over the past 24 seasons was during the height of the Jose Bautista era in 2016, when the team welcomed an average of 41,880 fans per game.

At the bottom of the list, there is no surprise, as the Athletics and Tampa Bay Rays sit in the last two spots, averaging under 10,000 fans per game. This is largely due to both teams playing in minor league stadiums.
