Earlier this year we told you that Topshop and reportedly Topman were coming to Vancouver. Many, as usual, dismissed our rumours. Well today The Bay announced officially that it will unveil a Tosphop “capsule” within its Vancouver store mid-September, 2011. This will give local fashion lovers a sneak peek at the latest Topshop collections. The Topshop capsule will be the first opportunity to shop from a temporary, curated selection of the UK-based brand as permanent flagship locations continue to be announced across the country.
The Vancouver capsule opening builds on the successful launch of a similar mini-collection at The Bay Queen St. in Toronto this summer. Not sure if the capsule is all that we are getting or if there will be future expansions, but as of press time that is all that’s known. I also heard that Topshop will get it’s own entrance via Granville Street, just across from Aritizia at Pacific Centre.
Topshop’s individuality has earned it worldwide respect, cementing its place on the international style map. Its collaborations with both young designers and some of history’s most iconic names such as Celia Birtwell and Kate Moss, have further advanced the brand’s reputation as a fashion leader.
