What: Canada’s largest restaurant festival with 263 local restaurants offering $18, $28 and $38 three course meals

Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival

When: January 18 to February 14
What: Sample over 60 flavours of the city’s best hot chocolate by over 20 local chocolate makers

Chinese New Year Parade

When: February 2 at 11 a.m.
Where: Vancouver Chinatown
What: Over 3,000 people from various community and cultural groups will be performing and marching along the 1.3 km parade route

Robson Square Skating

When: Now until February 28
Where: UBC Robson Square
What: Saunter the open-air rink on skates, free if you bring your own! $4 rentals also available.

Chinese New Year Celebrations

When: January 31 at 2:30 p.m.
Where: Lonsdale Quay Market
What: The Shao Lin Gung Har Kung Fu Association performs the lion dance and more at North Vancouver’s waterfront market
