Dec 19 2017, 8:13 pm

UPDATE: The event has been postponed until October 4.

There’s a massive food, drink and music lineup for this weekend at Hawkers Market. Here are our top picks for what to snag at the market!

Little Locavore’s Beet Ketchup Dip
Made by 12-year-old chef in training Liam Lewis. Don’t underestimate this kid, he knows his stuff and has already worked with tons of the coolest chefs around town. Keep your eye on this one, foodies.

Rawsome Desserts

Totally raw, totally vegan and tremendously delicious. Sarah Davallou is on a mission to show Vancouver that cakes can be raw, vegan and decadent.

Encanto
Three amazing options from these amazing ladies! Shaved ice with cajeta, elotes; corn on the cob with boiled corn on the cob, mayonnaise, feta cheese, ground chile ancho and ezquites; and corn in the cup with corn niblets, mayo, feta cheese, ground chile ancho, grilled chorizo or mushrooms.

Odd Society Spirits
New to Hawkers to keep the spirits craft and local, try out the Sunny Fig #33 mixed by moonshine tastings with Figs, 33 Acres Beer and East Van Vodka.

Liegendary Waffles

Saddler Browns new waffle concept on Liege waffles that are so delightful, fluffy and delicious you’ll want to order them by the dozen. We all know waffles are the new donuts anyways…

Honorable mention: Oxtale Fried Pork Bao. Smoked pork belly with crisp radish inside a fried steam bun. Beer recommended upon consuming.

Hawkers Market is this Saturday from 4 p.m. until late with local Vancouver band BESTiE playing the headlining set. All for $10!
