Top 5 Beauty Products Under $25

Dec 19 2017, 9:31 am

This week, I want to share a few of my favourite beauty products that I wouldn’t think twice about purchasing. In my opinion, the products listed below are well worth it.

Like many of you, I work hard for my money and want to make sure everything I buy lives up to what the company promises! First on the list – brushes!

Real Techniques Face Brushes – $20

These brushes are deadly. I was a bit hesitant about them at first but the hype about them was bang on! The four brushes in the set include:

  • Detailing Brush – This brush can be used for applying concealer, filling in your lips or for highlighting the inner corner of your eye!
  • Pointed Foundation Brush – For use with liquid foundation; it will also help you build up to the coverage you desire.
  • Buffing Brush – They say to use this one for full coverage powder application, but I use it for cream foundations and blending my concealer/foundation together for a seamless finish. The more dense and compact the brush hairs are; the more coverage you get.
  • Contour Brush – Use for a light dust of highlighter above your cheek or for a light bronzer contour in the hollows of your cheek and perimeter of your face!

*Available at London Drugs and Wal-Mart

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream – $22

I would suggest this BB Cream for those with combination or oily skin due to the fact that it gives you more of a satin/matte finish that isn’t ideal for dry skin. As far as coverage goes, it gives light to medium coverage. It also has an SPF of 35, which will be great for those sunny days coming up in the months ahead!

*Available at Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart

Ardency Inn Modster Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner – $22

This is a product I recently discovered and am in love with. With its punk/retro take on beauty, I almost feel as though this line was made for me! These liners are available in eight colours but turquoise is the one that caught my eye. They’re creamy, matte and extremely pigmented.

*Available at Sephora

Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo – $13

I didn’t realize how much I appreciated this product until yesterday morning when I found myself waking up 20 minutes before I had to be at work and had zero time to shower or do my makeup. It de-greased my hair and made it look soft, flowy and FULL of body! Unlike most dry shampoos it doesn’t give you that white, ashy look (my girls with dark hair know what I’m talking about) because it sprays on invisible!

*Available at Sephora

OCC Lip Tar- $22

My favourite colour from this line is Black Dahlia (a super blackened red) but for those of you who are looking for a less dramatic colour I strongly suggest Divine, which is described as being a true pink, flamingo color (shown above). These lip products come in matte, metallic and stained glosses finishes. In addition to being highly pigmented and long wearing, they are also 100% vegan AND cruelty free!

*Available at Sephora at Curlique Beauty – Located at the corner of Robson and Homer
