Tourists killed on capsized Tofino tour vessel were British
Five people have been confirmed dead after a boat capsized off the coast of Tofino, and according to Sky News, all of them were British.

One person is still missing, although their nationality is not known.
Around 18 people were taken to a Vancouver Island hospital, according to The Guardian. There were a total of 27 people on board, 21 of whom were rescued.
The ship that capsized was the M.V. Leviathan II with Jamie’s Whaling Station.

A Tofino fishing guide told The Guardian that 12 rescue boats were dispatched and that he could see diesel oil slicks as well as personal belongings floating in the water. The M.V. Leviathan II sent out a mayday signal at around 5 p.m. yesterday on October 25.
