WTF? Tim Hortons Used as a Hospital Wing

Dec 19 2017, 12:51 pm

Apparently Tim Hortons can also be used as a Hospital wing. No this is not a joke. As The ER department at New Westminster’s Royal Columbian Hospital was overwhelmed this week, the Tim Hortons inside the hospital was used as a make shift wing. That went on for about 3 hours.

In most hospitals it’s not uncommon to see patients in hallways, waiting rooms and even janitors closets. But to have patients wait for a room at a coffee shop is something you definitely don’t see everyday.

According to the health minister, this is routine procedure if and when there is no capacity. This doesn’t sound like the greatest medical care system to me. This is unacceptable.
