A Tim Hortons restaurant in Squamish, BC is closed after an employee tested positive for coronavirus recently, the coffee and donut chain tells Daily Hive.

The location at 38930 Progress Way along the Sea to Sky Highway is popular with locals as well as drivers passing through during journeys from Vancouver to Whistler.

“We wish the employee a full recovery,” an emailed statement from Tim Hortons said.

Other employees at the restaurant are self-isolating with pay until the virus’ incubation period has passed, the restaurant chain said.

The Squamish Tim Hortons will remain closed until it can be thoroughly cleaned and staffed with team members from other nearby locations.
