Ticket prices are dropping for these two FIFA World Cup games at BC Place

The FIFA World Cup is right around the corner.
And, for soccer fans in Vancouver hoping to catch a match, there’s some good news.
Days before BC Place gets set to host the first of seven World Cup matches, prices for two of those games are falling, and not just by a couple of dollars.
Currently, none of the FIFA World Cup games at BC Place are sold out, although unsold tickets remain sparse.
However, with the official kick-off inching closer by the hour, there have been steep price drops for the first two FIFA World Cup games in Vancouver, including Canada’s first match at BC Place.
On June 18, Canada will battle Qatar in their second FIFA World Cup match, and their first in Vancouver following their opening game in Toronto on June 12.
When Daily Hive checked ticket prices on Thursday, the get-in price for games in Vancouver was $1,050.
Now, there are 17 tickets available at $755.
About 300 tickets remain unsold for Canada’s first World Cup match at BC Place, with the majority of them still costing about $1,050.
On StubHub’s resale market, the cheapest tickets to go see Canada and Qatar on June 18 are $706.50. There are about 300 tickets available for a price of under $1,000 per ticket, after fees.
The other Vancouver FIFA World Cup match that’s seen a decent price drop is the contest between Australia and TĂĽrkiye this Saturday.
When we checked ticket prices last Thursday, the cheapest ones we could find on FIFA’s last-minute marketplace for unsold tickets were $630. The get-in price for fans wanting to witness the historic match in Vancouver is now $530.

On the resale market, there are some tickets available for below $522, but not many. The cheapest ticket currently available on StubHub is $436, after fees.
