Throw your event in Coal Harbour for free with the Instigator Series

The Profile, a co-working office in Gastown has teamed up with Picatic, online ticketing website, to launch the Instigator Series where they gift to the community a new venue for one-off events that engage the community in a highly influential and educational way. 

Events for the Instigator Series are events that are highly educational and influential, that would engage the community. The Instigator Series events are free to the public and as an organizer, if your event is chosen to participate in instigator series, you get the rental fee waived. Anybody can apply to host an event within the Series.

Vancouver is all about engagement, involvement, change, thinking global and acting local and this is an active step for early entrepreneurs and change agents to have access to a space where launching an idea is possible.

The room is located in the Landing Building, with an astonishing view on the harbour and the mountains. The Profile and Picatic provide a new stage for inspiration. “If you have a rad event idea, and it’s is all about growth and ideas and great people – we want that here. We want to help bring that to life.” says Tatiana, the event manager. This project aims to the tech and startup scene, but interested in hosting a range of events from student club showcases to international  conferences.

This is all very much what small businesses are about in Vancouver, support each other and create together. Some of the events already hosted at the Profile are the DevFest, Startup weekend, Entrepreneur group meetings, book presentation, humanities lectures, startup parties, student clubs meetings.
