Dec 20 2017, 12:59 am

RCMP are investigating another shooting incident in Surrey, this time between two vehicles on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. when two cars, a black Ford Mustang and silver Honda Civic, were traveling at excessive speeds. Witnesses said occupants in the cars fired gun shots at each other during the apparent vehicle chase.

The cars were seen on the 12800 block of 754th Avenue and at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and 130th Street.

Shortly after, RCMP officers discovered a black Ford Mustang with a bullet hole at a nearby location. The vehicle’s occupants were detained.

A verbal altercation earlier in the evening may have triggered the violence. The second vehicle and its occupants have not been found.

Police are asking anyone who may have helpful tips or witnessed the incident to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers (anonymous hotline) at 1-800-222-8477.
