Thomas Haas Creates Rare & Exclusive ONE! Bar

Thomas Haas is Vancouver’s master chocolatier and pastry chef, and he’s treating locals to an ultra-exclusive creation made with some of the finest chocolate on earth.

Haas is the only chocolatier in Canada (and one of few worldwide) to get his hands on a rare type of cocoa from the island of Grenada. He’s used it to create just 1000 of the Thomas Haas ONE! Bar. Each box contains two 50g bars, handcrafted and 79% cocoa.

Thomas Haas is a 4th generation patissier and celebrated Konditormeister, or Master Pastry Chef. He worked in top restaurants in his native Germany and across Europe before relocating to Vancouver in 1995. Haas has since become a sensation in the city, but rather than expanding into a mass-production chocolate business, he’s instead nurtured the talent of his close-knit team of staff and apprentices, who handcraft every Thomas Haas creation with skill and finesse.

Thomas Haas is talented, affable, and also charitable. Raffle tickets are on sale at Vancouver’s two Thomas Haas cafes, and the winner will receive the very first ONE! Bar (with serial number 0001) and an evening of chocolate-making with Thomas Haas and seven friends. One hundred percent of the raffle proceeds will go to purchasing toys for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
