You don’t have to wait for the weekend to see some great live acts in Vancouver. Tomorrow night Goo Goo Dolls are playing at the Commodore so if you have fond memories of the 90’s you should go and check them out.
Thursday, it’s the Commodore again, this time hosting British pop/electronica/trip-hop legends Morcheeba. Skye Edwards, the bands original singer is back in the line up and all set to seduce the crowd with her majestic voice. This one’s a great choice for ‘date night’.
Jeff Martin, Canadian rocker and frontman of The Tea Party is playing at The Media Club on both Thursday and Friday night and with the release of his new album “The Ground Cries Out” out today these are sure to be memorable shows.
And when the weekend does finally roll around, if you aren’t already exhausted by this amazing line-up of entertainment for the week, then the top pick for Saturday has to be California’s Indie Rock band Cold War Kids, who will be playing at the Vogue Theatre. Unfortunately for you (unless you have a ticket already) it is, of course, sold out. However all is not lost! If you are a fan of indie rock then why not check out Canadian band The Dears at the Venue instead.
