5 things to see and do at a Vancouver Canadians game

Aug 24 2018, 1:04 am

Baseball season isn’t over in Vancouver (yet!), so you’ve still got time to visit iconic Nat Bailey Stadium.

Home to the Vancouver Canadians, our city’s fine minor league baseball team, the Nat is the best way to experience the true atmosphere of the game.

It certainly helps that the Canadians could potentially emerge as the champions for the second year running, as the team (as of this writing) currently has a two-game lead for first place in the Northwest League.

Epic baseball playing aside, there are a number of reasons to visit the Nat before the season ends. Here’s our top five.

The food!

The team at the Nat always has something fun and tasty cooking in the kitchen.

Whether it’s new menu items such as the double pig smoked mac n’ cheese, Oreo churro and refreshing sweet tea; or old favourites such as Nat bat, pulled pork poutine, or the infamous yard dog — there’s something that will be sure to please your taste buds!

Nooners at the Nat

Can’t stay up late but still want to catch a game? No problem!

The legendary Nooners at the Nat are a great way to spend the day with your family. Don’t miss out on the remaining Nooners on August 24 and 31.

Sushi races

With the addition of chopsticks to this year’s sushi mascot race, it’s hard not to get up out of your seat and cheer them on as they round third base to battle it out for the championship.

A&B Tools Rentals Dancing Grounds Crew

They keep the grounds looking immaculate AND they have fun doing it. Dancing along with the grounds crew is a must. Plus, you might even be shown rocking your moves on the big screen!

If you’re looking to book a corporate event for your team or if you just have a lot of friends, the Hey Y’all Porch is for you.
