Indian Summer Festival: 5 X 15 and Constellations

  • What: Indian Summer Festival’s Closing Night kicks off with the speaker series, 5×15, followed by Constellations featuring a mix of musical delights. The ticket includes both events for an entire evening of cultural feasting.

Vancouver Folk Festival 2017

  • What: More than 60 international, national, and local acts take the stage every year at the Vancouver Folk Festival. This year’s acts include Barenaked Ladies, Alpha Ya Ya Diallo, Ferron and Her All Star Band, Si Kahn, andRoy Forbes.

Ninth Annual Wiener Dog Races at Hastings Racecourse

  • What: The darling little Dachshunds – 80 in number – invade the racetrack for the Ninth Annual Wiener Dog Races. Presented by Hastings Racecourse and Schneiders, the popular four-legged wienerschnitzels compete for $1,800 in prize money and bragging rights for a full year.

Fiji Festival

Family Fun Fest featuring Portobello West

  • What: The family fun-packed day includes one of a kind shopping, live music, outdoor inflatable Slip & Slide, activities for the kids, food trucks and more all day long.

Chicha’s AYCE Peruvian Street Meat BBQ

  • What: Chicha Restaurant is having their annual “All You Can Eat Peruvian Street Meat” BBQ this week. There will be every kind of Peruvian street meat and fish bbq imaginable, ceviches, roasted corn, all of the summer bbq sides. There will also be lots of local beers, wine and pisco cocktails flowing. The indoor-outdoor party will have the grill on the go, DJs playing music, and lots of spots for sun-soaking or shade sitting.

The Rabbitts with Gregor Kennedy

Thunderbird Sharing Ceremony

  • What: ​Experience a collaborative performance with Aeriosa Dance and Spakwus Slulem/Eagle Song at its heart. This shared ceremony journeys from the sandy shores of Stanley Park to the heights of its ancient forest. Witness celebrations and ceremony with local Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh artists, and Aeriosa aerial dancers.

Vancouver Farmers Markets’ 7th Annual Berry Festival

  • What: The 7th annual Berry Festival includes everything for the berry lover, from berry tastings of farm-fresh offerings, recipes and storage tips, and of course: PIE. The pie happens Sunday at the BC Berry Pie Bake Off, which is open to professional and amateur bakers. And once the judging is done, the pies are sliced up and available for market shoppers to enjoy (with a donation).

Dancing in the Street 2017 Kick-Off Dance with The Milk Crate Bandits

2017 Vancouver Greek Summerfest

  • What: The Vancouver Greek Summer Festival is an annual celebration of food, entertainment, and family fun — from the famous “BBQ Lamb” and “Loukoumades” to the dozens of live singers and dancers on the Performance Stage. This year’s feature performances includes Zougla, Urban Myth, Asi Somos, Dolphin Jazz and Golden Thread Orchestra, Jim Byrnes, Gotta B George Michael tribute artist, DJ Alpha Music and bouzouki music with Yannis Sahamis.
