The first weekend of March has arrived so let’s have some fun! From a queer variety show to a snowshow tour, there are plenty of things to do in Vancouver this Saturday, March 4.

  • What: Vancouver performance group Variety of Queers is holding its first ever live show and dance party to help gay and transgender refugees this Saturday. The show will feature singing, drag performances, comedy, dancing, and a burlesque satire artist. There will also be a 50/50 draw, raffle prizes and a silent auction to support Rainbow Refugee, followed by a dance party with DJs Krista and Denise.

TEDxStanleyPark

  • What: TEDxStanleyPark is one of the world’s largest TED conferences. It is held every March in Vancouver, British Columbia. High-impact talks address a diverse range of humanity’s tough challenges and offer practical and optimistic solutions. These talks inspire, stimulate and activate thoughtful optimists with open minds and big hearts to move the needle toward a better world.

Dragons’ Den Auditions

  • What: The Dragons’ Den audition tour welcomes participants of all ages, with businesses at any stage of development. Hopeful entrepreneurs should prepare to pitch their concept to the Dragons’ Den producers in five minutes or less. If they show the producers they have what it takes to pitch in the Den, they could be invited to Toronto to face the Dragons.

ECCW: Pacific Cup ’17
