  • What: The 20-year-old singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer will be taking to the stage with guests on the third leg of his ‘The Human Condition’ tour. The ‘Human’ singer got his start in music by making a series of mixtapes featuring his original songs – all recorded in his parents’ basement. He soared to success after sharing his music with fans and went on to co-write songs for artists like Jason Derulo, Eminem, and Rihanna.

VIFF Live

An Evening with Feist 2017

  • What: Canadian singer-songwriter Feist is hitting up Vancouver a show at Commodore Ballroom on October 2. You can expect to hear songs like ‘Any Party’, ‘Baby Be Simple’, ‘The Wild’, ‘Lost Dreams’, ‘Young Up’, and more during Feist’s October concerts.

  • What: Duncan Shields is a two-time Vancouver Haiku Champion, a two-time Vancouver Nerd Slam Champion, two-time Ghost Story Slam and the winner of the 2010 IWPS Haiku Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina. His poems are as funny as they are insightful.

Kwantlen Improv

  • What: Kwantlen Improv is a Drop-In Workshop series in Surrey where you can learn improv games, communication techniques, make new friends and have fun.

Ginny Wilkie: Poppy Fields and Forests

  • What: The Poppy Fields and Trees Series by Richmond artist Ginny Wilkie is a series of paintings that represents the simple beauty in nature in the form of vibrant colors and touchable, tactile textures. Galleria exhibitions are presented by Richmond Art Gallery, and is for all ages.

The Power of Story Conference

  • What: A day of inspiration, connection, motivation and transformation. Keynote speakers Silken Laumann, Lindsay Marino, Nasir Andrews and James Picard will be sharing insights and personal stories at this one of a kind conference!
