What: The evening will feature coastal wines along with tasty samplings from Granville Island food purveyors. It’s the perfect autumn event! Fall Into the Market takes place in the Dining Room of Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island. All proceeds benefit the BC SPCA.

What: The event will be held at The Pipe Shop at the Shipyards in North Vancouver. There will be tasting tables throughout the 9300 square foot space that will be showcasing wine, craft breweries, the best cocktail bars and restaurants around Vancouver. The event is raising funds through ticket sales and a silent auction for the BC Women’s Newborn ICU.

What: Check out a panel discussing the impacts of social inequality in Vancouver. Inequality is associated with decreasing health outcomes, poorer education levels, higher rates of mental illness, higher levels of incarceration and less social mobility. Minimum wage, social assistance rates and income levels generally, have not kept pace with the cost of living in cities.

What: From the good, to the bad, and the downright evil: join Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Science World for a mind-bending talk on the best and worst of human nature. Free and open to the public, the event will feature Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani. Guests must register in advance at kpu.ca/scienceworld.
