  • What: The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is Canada’s largest conservation-based cleanup program, an initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF-Canada. Learn firsthand about the lasting impact litter has on our turtles, seabirds, whales and otters while cleaning out shorelines.

Midnight Oil

  • What: Midnight Oil is more than just a rock & roll band. From the beaches of Sydney to the streets of Manhattan, they’ve stopped traffic, inflamed passions, inspired fans, and broken new ground. Now they’re on The Great Circle tour, stopping in Vancouver.

Zajac Nights – The Roaring 20s

  • What: Take a trip back in time to The Roaring 20s at Vancouver’s Terminal City Club in support of Zajac Ranch for Children. Each room will fully immerse you in the revelry of the era, with food and drink, live music, DJs, and lively entertainment. Flapper dresses, Gatsby inspired suits, hats, headbands, feathers – come 20s inspired or just as you are.

Do Make Show

  • What: An evening of five short dance pieces created by local choreographers, All Bodies Dance is an inclusive dance company that explores the meaning of movement and limitation with dancers of all abilities. VocalEye is partnering with All Bodies Dance to provide live dance description for audience members with vision loss

Jillian Christmas at the Vancouver Queer Slam

  • What: A showcase, expression and celebration of the work of Van Slam’s writers of queer poetry. Featuring Jillian Christmas, the winner of 2016’s Capturing Fire Queer Summit, this slam will determine which poet will have the chance to officially represent Vancouver Poetry Slam in Washington, DC.

Scenic Adventures – An Operatic Vacation

  • What: Young People’s Opera Society of BC kicks off its 13th season with Scenic Adventure, showcasing some of BC’s up-and-coming young opera singers performing recitatives and arias from around the world.
