It’s the first official day of fall, and whether you’re mourning the loss of summer, or celebrating the arrival of autumn, you should get out and have fun. Here are five things to do in Vancouver on Thursday, September 22.

Truvelle 2017 Collection

  • What: Get an exclusive look at Vancouver bridalwear designer Truvelle’s fresh 6300 sq.ft. converted warehouse studio while viewing their 2017 collection fashion show and the debut of their anticipated new line, Laudae. Includes a raffle to win a dress.
  • Where: Truvelle Studio – 2008 Manitoba Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, September 22, from 7 pm to 1 am
  • Tickets: On Eventbrite, $10 in advance, $15 on door.

Object Knowledge

  • What: An insider’s perspective of the Museum of Vancouver’s collection, presented by MOV Curatorial Associate, Jillian Povarchook, exploring multiple items from the museum’s early collection – a collection that has amassed 70,000 artifacts.
  • Where: Museum of Vancouver – 1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, September 22, at 7 pm
  • Tickets: At Museum of Vancouver, $15 for adults or $11 for students.

One Woman Sex and the City

  • What: A Pick Plus extra treat from the Vancouver Fringe, this tribute takes audiences through a laughter-infused version of all six seasons of the beloved show.
  • Where: Performance Works – 1218 Cartwright St, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, September 22, and Friday, September 23, at 6:45 pm

Yoga + Beer = Brewga

  • What: Yes Brewga is back! Your favourite combo of yoga and beer includes a one-hour yoga session, a pint of Big Rock beer, snacks and live music – after everyone’s finished with their downward dogs.
  • Where: Big Rock Urban Brewery & Eatery – 310 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
  • When: Thursday, September 22, from 6 to 8 pm
  • Tickets: Available on Eventbrite for $23.01

Jokes Please!

  • What: Check out this tiny, cramped Mount Pleasant black box theatre for some of the best stand-up in the city. Hosts Andy Kallstrom, Ross Dauk and Ivan Decker are some of the best crowd warmers out there, and local heavy hitters (think: Dino Archie, Sophie Buddle, Graham Clark) often dot the lineup as they perfect their sets. For five bucks, it’s almost stupid not to give it a shot.
  • Price: $5
  • Time: Thursdays at 9 pm
  • Address: Little Mountain Gallery – 195 E 26th Avenue
