While Vancouver might have a rainy weekend in store, that doesn’t mean you need to sit around and mope about it. There are plenty of things to do around town, so get out there and make the most of it.

Saturday, April 23

Kung Fu Hustle

  • What: Kung Fu Hustle is playing at the Rio Theatre this Saturday. In Shanghai, China in the 1940s, a wannabe gangster aspires to join the notorious “Axe Gang” while residents of a housing complex exhibit extraordinary powers in defending their turf.

Points North

  • What: Artist Laura Lamb will give an illustrated talk on her Klondike artist’s residency at 8 p.m.

Carolily’s Tea Time

  • What: A number of local companies will be joining Carolily’s Tea Time, an event where all proceeds go to Girls Inc.
