Whether you’re basking in the heat or taking shelter in the shade, there’s something for everyone happening in Vancouver.

So without further ado, here are 20 things to do in Vancouver this week, from tragic symphonies to salsa beats.

Monday, June 6

Mahler’s Tragic Symphony

  • What: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents Mahler’s Tragic Symphony, one of the greatest symphonic masterpieces ever written, along with the North American premiere of Dream Song, a piece by British composer Edward Gregson.

Queer Prov

Food Truck Challenge

  • What: Food trucks Le Tigre, Super Thai Food, and Meet2Eat are serving up free lunch downtown, going head-to-head in a recipe challenge to get the word out about a new line of Uncle Ben’s “Rice & Grains” easy-to-prepare products.
