The summer fun continues in Burnaby in August, with Korean Cultural Heritage Festival, RCMP Musical Ride and more to keep you entertained.

What: Bring your own blanket, find a spot on the lawn and enjoy an evening movie at Civic Square. Films this season include Moana (August 3), Stars (August 10), Beauty and the Beast (August 17), The Secret Life of Pets (August 21) and Toy Story (August 31).

What: The Korean Cultural Heritage Festival is an annual festival celebrating multiculturalism in the Lower Mainland, which showcases Korean heritage through cultural performances, food, and entertainment.

What: Come celebrate BC Day at the Burnaby Village Museum! Plus it’s another Market Monday.

What: Willingdon’s annual summer celebration, with live entertainment, games, barbecue, community information displays, craft tables and much more.

What: An annual soccer tournament, showcasing a variety of talented players from many ethnic backgrounds and ages from Canada and around the world. Plus, enjoy a cultural festival between matches.

What: Featuring Afro/Latin and Reggae culture, music and communities, this all-ages family event will showcase live fusion bands and international talent, alongside a tasty food fair and marketplace.

What: This nine-hour event showcases an eclectic variety of world-class music on three stages in the picturesque venue of Deer Lake Park. Featuring Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Sue Foley, Little Miss Higgins and more.

Where: Deer Lake Park Festival Lawn – 6450 Deer Lake Ave, Burnaby

What: Chat with a friendly park interpreter, pick up a park map, report wildlife sightings and learn about the park’s flora and fauna. Stroll through the butterfly garden to discover which plants attract these colourful insects.

RCMP Musical Ride / City of Burnaby

What: Celebrate Canada’s 150th and Burnaby’s 125th birthdays, and see one of Canada’s most recognized icons, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride. The evening will be packed with a variety of entertainment that includes performers, activities and displays – perfect for the whole family.
