Summertime in Surrey is packed with fun events, including Honeybee Festival, Surrey Fusion Festival, and more. To get you started, here are 10 things to do around the city in July.

Free Yoga at the Beach

  • What: Join Prana Leah Yoga for free yoga with core practice outside with breathtaking views and fresh open air. Bring a mat and some water and take in the energy.

Across The Nation Celebration Lot Bash

  • What: Watch live beekeeping demos, honey extraction, and bee beards. Enjoy crafts, games, and activities for kids. Shop our artisan market and enjoy lunch at Fry’s Corner beestro, or enjoy our Beestro BBQ, Hurricane Potato Food Truck, and shaved ice food truck.

BC Superweek

  • What: Featuring nine pro races over the course of 10 days, BC Superweek has fast become one of the most prestigious pro-cycling events in North America with a total prize purse of more than $120,000! Featuring 6 separate events as part of the series, BC Superweek consists of the Tour de Delta, New West Grand Prix, Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix, Giro di Burnaby, PoCo Grand Prix, and Tour de White Rock.

Gone Country 2017

  • What: A big outdoor country music concert with all proceeds going to fight cancer. The event is one giant beer garden, so please bring two pieces of ID as the event is 19+. This years line up features Tim Hicks, JoJo Mason, Karen Lee Batten, Me and Mae, Danielle Marie, Dave Hartney, and guest DJ Jaxon Hawks from JRFM.

Surrey Fusion Festival

  • What: The ultimate celebration of music, food and culture, right in the heart of Surrey, with musical performances across six different stages, and 40 cultural pavilions offering culinary delights from all over the world. Headliners include Nelly Furtado, Classified, The Zolas and Alx Veliz.

Reflections on Canada Panel Discussion

  • What: In light of Canada’s sesquicentennial this year, there is a lot of conversation about our country—its past, present, and future. How are local artists responding to Canada? Find out at this panel discussion featuring presentations by and conversations with local artists, thinkers, and leaders in the community, including Surrey’s first Poet Laureate Renée Sarojini Saklikar.
