Then and Now Fashion: Shorts

Dec 19 2017, 3:18 pm

Good news ladies! As the fashion worlds evolve and revolve, it seems we’ve finally arrived in an era that graces our feminine forms with its fashions. Among many unflattering and uncomfortable fashion staples that have slowly been dissipating over the last several years, it’s safe to say that tiny short-shorts have been crossed off the “fashionable” list with red ink. And to take their place, one might ask?

The tailored short

The tailored short is good news for many reasons aside from the fact that it doesn’t reveal the most embarrassing of our workout procrastinations preceding the spring and summer seasons. The tailored shorts are cut low enough and high enough that they complement almost any female figure, and because of their genius tailored cut, they also become very versatile. Today I’m wearing my tailored shorts over a pair of patterned stockings to the office, and in a few months I plan to wear them with a bikini top and flip-flops somewhere far-off on a tropical beach. I digress.

Tailored shorts can be paired with a matching jacket to create a professional pantsuit, or a graphic tee to create a casual look. Tailored shorts can be worn with heels, flats and flip-flops, all while gracing the world with your beautiful feminine form. One might ask, why didn’t the fashion Gods revive this look sooner?
