The XX coming to Vancouver for 2013 show

British indie pop band The XX started off with their hit single “Crystalised” and produced their first album XX in 2009. The trio started back when two of the members were in high school and they have been gradually rising in the music industry.

XX was ranked one of the top albums by news companies and their most recent album “Coexist” came out in 2012 with several hits, such as “Sunset” and “Fiction“. The XX has won and received several awards and expanded their fame, including:

  • Being ranked one of the best albums of 2009 in NME, MTV and The Rolling Stones
  • Playing most of North America’s biggest music festivals in 2010: Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch
  • Receiving the 2010 Barclaycard Mercury Prize, which led to an incredible increase in sales for their album XX
  • Nominated for 2011’s “Best British Album”

A perfect blend of Croft and Sim’s voices along with the bass guitar and beat creates an atmospheric soul indie production. If you are into this style of music, definitely don’t miss out on them live!
