The Wooden Streets of Old Vancouver Reappear

Dec 19 2017, 1:30 pm

Most Vancouverites are familiar with the cobblestone streets of Gastown and parts of Yaletown that still exist. Some of you may even know about the rubber sidewalk experiment in East Vancouver. Furthermore, there are also large stretches of  Hastings between Seymour and Main that are cobblestone under the asphalt. However, did you know that there is a network of wooden streets at the edge of Gastown and in Railtown. These were spotted at Alexander and Princess Avenue the a few years back and still remain visible. Excellent find.
