The Suburbs: 2010 Coquitlam Fair in Square

Dec 19 2017, 12:29 pm

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Coquitlam Fair in the Square, which takes place this weekend at Heritage Square (1120 Brunette Ave, map). Both the event and parking is free (one of the perks of living in the suburbs). So if you live in the Tri-Cities area, perhaps take in the family fun at The Fair in the Square.

Activities include:
Carnival Games and Carnival Foods
Play classic carnival games and win some fun prizes. Enjoy buttery popcorn and pink cotton candy! For hungry fair goers, Hunky Bill’s will offer a full menu including perogies, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers and more on both days! On Sunday, the Coquitlam Farmer’s Pocket Market will also be featuring fresh produce, artisan breads and lemonade!
Silent Auction
Support the fair and bid on one of the many fantastic and unique silent auction packages donated by local businesses and artists. Packages include a dinner and concert package to Music on the Grill, presented by the Evergreen Cultural Centre, family trips to a Vancouver Canadians baseball game and more! Bidding closes on Sunday at 4pm.
Displays and Demonstrations
Coquitlam Weavers, Dye Pot Club of Coquitlam, Lace Club, Coquitlam Public Library, SPARC Antique Radios, City of Coquitlam Passport Tent, Port Metro Authority, Crossroads Hospice, BC Hydro Outreach Team and more! Tim Hortons Community Cruiser will be on-site handing out free coffee and timbits from 12pm – 2pm on both days!
Place des Arts
Visit the art exhibit in the Atrium Gallery and check out the pottery and fibre arts studios. Explore the centre and discover all that this amazing facility has to offer! Find out about class offerings by picking up the 2010/11 Annual Program Guide.
