The Square Community Market this Weekend!

Dec 19 2017, 1:32 pm

New to the Mount Pleasant neighborhood this year, the Square Community Market is a 2 day art, fashion and music showcase highlighting some of the up-and-coming talent Vancouver has to offer in the Arts community while raising money for two worthwhile arts and culture charities.

The event, the initiative of Sweet Harriet Design and Ripple Effect Arts and Literature Society will be raising money for the Art Creation Foundation for Children (a non-profit arts organization that aims to provide education to Haitian children) and the Alethea Foundation, and spotlighting a variety of the musicians, artists and artisans that call our fair city home. Sponsored by Steam Whistle, with generous donations from LUSH, The Loden Hotel and Rize Mount Pleasant, the market promises a fun, free experience, and an opportunity to support local artists, charities and small businesses at the same time. Make sure you show up in support so that events like this can continue to be a viable option in the city! Besides, you’ll probably want some respite from whatever combination of snow/hail/typhoon besieges us this weekend, anyways.

The Market runs Friday, March 23rd from 5pm to 9pm , and Saturday March 24th from 11am to 5pm. A full list of performers and vendors is below.

Rize Mount Pleasant is located at 196 Kingsway, at the intersection of Kingsway and 10th Avenue.
