Adopt my Shop: The Smoothie Machine

Adopt my Shop is an initiative by Daily Hive, West Coast Technology Innovation Foundation (WCTIF), and the IT in Canada collective. Find out more on how to support your local small businesses here.

The Smoothie Machine is Vancouver’s first fully-automated smoothie bar that creates delicious, plant-based drinks made fresh in one minute. Since its Parker Street location is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 crisis, the team has started a challenge so people can learn to make smoothies at home.

Vancouverites can try one of three different 14-day programs: the Family Plan, Immunity Booster, or the Slim Down. The #TSMSmoothieChallenge is essentially a lifestyle program designed to help you increase your fruit and vegetable intake at a time when supplies are limited in grocery stores.

Each challenge package costs $150 and includes a 14-day smoothie program, a recipe book with tips, one box of mango puree (22 servings), one box of pineapple puree (22 servings), one box of banana puree (22 servings), and a shopping list. You can also sign up for the challenge using your own ingredients and get the 14-day program and recipe book for free.

The Smoothie Machine team hopes to welcome locals to their online community during and after the challenge. Contactless delivery for challenge packages is now available in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond. If you’d like to donate a challenge package to a family in need, email [email protected].
