Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is currently spending his summer in Vancouver filming a new flick called Skyscraper.

But while he often plays the hero in these kind of films, last month Johnson said it’s time for him to “shake the hand of a real-life 10 year-old hero.” His name is Jacob O’ Connor.

In an Instagram post, Johnson said O’Connor’s story grabbed his heart.

“Jacob O’Connor found his little 2yr old brother, Dylan laying facedown in their pool,” Johnson wrote. “He pulled his little brother out and started CPR & chest compressions. He saved little Dylan’s life. Jacob said he learned how to do this by watching me in his favourite movie, San Andreas.”

And Johnson finally met the little hero over the weekend after flying Jacob and his family to Vancouver.

The former WWE superstar posted a photo of him going in for a hug with the pint-sized life-saver describing it as a “very special” day.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I finally met this real life 10yr old hero, Jacob O’Connor. He rescued his 2yr old brother after finding him facedown in their pool,” he wrote. “I said, not only do I shake hands, but when I meet heroic kids, I give hugs.. now get in here. Despite the fact I looked like 9 ways of hell, battered and bloodied from my scenes, Jacob reluctantly, gave me a hug. 😂🤙🏾. A very special day we had on our #Skyscraper set. #JacobOConnor #Hero”

There was also some love shown for the boys’ mother before they got to enjoy an epic day on the star’s movie set, complete with all the free candy they could eat!
