The Ride to Conquer Cancer launches national "Gear Up Day"

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a two-day, over 200 km cycling event between Vancouver and Seattle to raise vital funds for personalized cancer medicine research at the BC Cancer Foundation.

In five years, The Ride raised over $50 million for the foundation. It brings together communities of survivors, riders and supporters who train and fundraise for months in order to participate.

“Gear Up Day” on Wednesday, October 2 is the official launch of the 6th Ride in B.C.

Each week, 3,340 Canadians are diagnosed with cancer and 1,470 Canadians will die from the disease.
