The project, sponsored by 100.5 The Peak, Cariboo Brewing, Music BC and The Pattison Group, runs the 20 artists selected through an intensive one week ‘Boot Camp’ at Rockridge Canyon in Princeton, designed to highlight some of the key aspects of artist development and marketing, as well as providing the artists with some excellent collaborative and artistic opportunities. Following the camp, the participants move on to play a variety of showcase shows in Vancouver (held this year at the Red Room), followed by online voting, at which point the top 5 artists will be announced and move on to compete for the $225,000 in prize money up for grabs.

Congratulations again to the artists accepted from Vancity Buzz — make sure you follow your favorite artists on Twitter and Facebook as they’ll definitely need your help to move forward in this incredibly competitive field.
