Indie rock-folk band The Paper Kites added an additional tour date at Vancouver’s Rio Theatre. Originally playing Friday, December 9, the band will also be performing on Thursday, December 8 at the Rio.

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia the five-piece – Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, David Powys, Josh Bentley, and Sam Rasmussen – have been making waves since releasing their EP Woodland back in 2011, which was followed up by 2013’s Young North and their acclaimed 2013 LP, States.

With a second studio album (twelvefour) under their belt, The Paper Kites are about to embark on an extensive tour this fall, which will see the quintet visit various cities across Europe and North America.
