The Main (on Main) Restaurant Review

While the battle between yuppies and hipster continues to take place on Main Street, one thing is for certain, they’ll enjoy plenty of great eateries whilst they debate. One such eatery is The Main on Main.
I’ve been traveling to this wonderful establishment for quite some time now. For those of you who have never visited I implore you to. The Main serves up Greek and southern Mediterranean cuisine with a Cretan flavour. I usually order the Lamb or Chicken Souvlaki, served with roasted potatoes, rice, greek salad and satziki. I might add the satziki is too die for. I’ve been to many Greek establishments, however I keep coming back to The Main. The prices are reasonable and the portions are spot on. The food is delicious.

The service is always friendly and never overbearing. The servers aren’t trying too hard for their tip. However, at the same time if you engage them in conversation they’ll be more than happy to oblige, usually with a smile on their face.

If its live music you fancy then The Main is a place you should check out. Just the other day Eldorado (Vancouver roots artist) was there performing in support of their new album. The decor is nice and wood is used in abundance. Its a welcome relief from all the grey and steel used in most chain establishments.

All in all you can’t go wrong with The Main, so go check it out.
