The Guilty Feminist podcast to bring laughs and hard truths to Vancouver

Oct 25 2019, 3:55 pm

The Guilty Feminist, an award-winning podcast hosted by Deborah Frances-White, is bringing its live show to Vancouver.

The podcast explores 21st century feminism — and all the insecurities, hypocrisies, and fears that come with it. The Guilty Feminist has been downloaded more than 60 million times since 2016. It was nominated for Best Comedy Podcast at the British Podcast Awards earlier this year. And for the first time ever, The Guilty Feminist tour is coming to North America.

Hilarious host Frances-White uses her wit and her background in improv to advocate for justice and inclusion — and make listeners feel better about being imperfect feminists. Her BBC Radio 4 comedy series won the Writers’ Guild Award.

Frances-White is multi-talented. Not only is she a podcaster, but a stand-up comedian, screenwriter, and in-demand corporate speaker. Now, she’s an author, too. Her book was recently released in paperback. Featuring interviews from performers, thinkers, and activists, it tells readers that even imperfect feminists can make the world better for women.

The Guilty Feminist live show features special guests. They’ll discuss their noble goals (and their shortfalls) during the live taping of the podcast. If you’ve ever bought makeup during a women’s march, this show is for you!

Tickets for The Guilty Feminist tour are $40 and can be purchased now via Ticketmaster. Venue is 19+ and two pieces of ID are required.
