Downtown Vancouver’s newest spot for Greek food is about to open its doors.

Coming at us from the family-run restaurant group behind Anatoli Souvlaki in North Vancouver and The Greek by Anatoli in Yaletown, the new eatery in Gastown will be offering the same family-style share plates and vibrant atmosphere as its sister restaurants.

Located at 221 Carrall Street (formerly the space of Bao Down Snack Bar) the 2,000-sq-ft restaurant has been transformed into a modern eatery with touches of distinct
Mediterranean style such as Versace-inspired walls and Greek archways.

Owners Alexi and Iani Makris ensured family photos lined the walls of the upstairs portion of the dining room, an ode to their clan, which boasts three-generations of restaurant owners in North Vancouver and Vancouver.

The 60-seat dining room is stunning and modern, welcomed contrast from traditional family recipes on the menu here.

Patrons can expect the same food and beverage program they know and love from The Greek Yaletown, along with live entertainment from Thursday to Saturday weekly at the new Gastown spot.

The much-loved concept is delicious and affordable, something we are excited to welcome into the historic Gastown neighbourhood.

So get ready for all the chicken, lamb platters, calamari, tzatziki, and Greek salad you can handle.

The Greek Gastown will be soft opening on Wednesday, January 30.
