Perhaps we know how The Edge got his name – the guitarist was so focused on rocking the 6-strings at U2’s Thursday night sold-out concert at Rogers Arena that he mistook the edge of the stage and took a tumble.

Concert goers at U2’s opening night of their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE World Tour have more than the music to talk about this morning after The Edge lost his footing and fell off the stage.

During “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, The Edge slowly meanders down the stage and accidentally steps right off the side, falling along with his guitar to the floor roughly four feet below.

Two hours later, the guitarist posted a photo of his bruised arm on Instagram with a caption that read “didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!”.
